Learn to surf from longtime waterman Kahuna Bob and his talented crew and
experience all that the ocean in mild Southern California has to offer. Young or
old, male or female, you will learn how to catch waves while popping-up on your
feet and then riding them all the way to the shore. Our program will help you
realize you dream of riding waves and enjoying the ocean for years to come. We
offer the full experience, provide all the the equipment as well as the the
setting for you to excel at whatever your current ability level is. Some surf
schools are simple surf baby sitters sending your children out with kids not
much older than you own children are. These are really not surf schools at all.
Don't get us confused with them. We are the full service real McCoy. Of course
we will baby sit your children when they are with us but we will also provide a
real full educational surf school experience the way it is meant to be. Beware
of contenders who are really just pretenders All our surfers are filmed in
action and given a DVD video to take home so they can see for themselves what the instructors are seeing while
you are going through your daily classes. This is a very valuable tool to the
beginner as well as intermediate surfers and helps accelerate the learning
curve. All campers have the opportunity to view themselves in action as well as
other class members at our mid-week pizza party. Kahuna Bob's Surf School is a safety oriented
recreational activity that is a fully insured, registered and licensed business.
At the end of the week all campers will receive a
diploma, surfing award and a video tape of their week with Kahuna Bob's Surf
School to remember forever. We also cover safety topics such as rip currents,
long shore currents, dealing with local sea life, surfing etiquette and wave
judgment. Come surf with us and gain valuable lessons that will last a lifetime.

What’s NEW in 2008 The BIG KAHUNA and his crew are preparing for another great summer of fun in the surf. Be sure to BOOK your week ahead of time by phone (we now accept VISA and MASTERCARD) 1-800 KAHUNAS This year we have decided to go with three hours per day instead of the usual four hours, as our insurance rates have skyrocketed, even though there has never been a claim, and the City of Encinitas is currently deciding on how much to charge us for use of their beach and city services. So, in order to keep from raising our rates we feel that by shortening the day is a better alternative. This way we can still offer the GREATEST SHOW ON SURF with lunch, video sessions, awards, t-shirt, DVD's and prizes and the best well trained crew of ADULT instructors at any beach anywhere in the world. We found that 4 hour sessions per day led to exhaustion and some very burned out guests by the end of Wednesday afternoon. We thought we would make it better. |
